Could mattresses carry diseases?

It has a one way valve, I may be dumb but do I pull the valve thing up to make it let the air out-it seems not too easy and I don’t want to rip my new air mattress.

Was gifted a new backpack which contains a removable vinyl "bladder" that you can fill with liquid and use for drinking from an attached tube. Problem is that the "bladder", which is made from a fairly thick vinyl material heat-fused around the circumference leaks from a small area (perhaps 1/2" long) of that seam where the fusing did not "take".

Is there a glue or similar material that will repair this defect? The area is easily accessible to apply the glue and clamp together for whatever time it would take for the glue to dry/cure. I’m asking this because I’ve had many poor experiences trying to patch inflatable vinyl toys and air mattresses. Hoping there’s something magic out there you will know of.

I am looking for a mattress that functions both as a mattress & a box spring. I had one for my son’s bed, but I can’t remember what they are called. Can anyone tell me what they are called & maybe give me a link to a store online that sells them. thanks

Ok so I just bought a new aero bed for 0.00 and to say the least, I’m quite pissed off. the first night I woke up on the floor with a huge hole in the seam. I used the path repair kit that it came with but it did nothing. i need something STRONG that will HOLD for a LONG time. any ideas?
oh, by the way, it’s a velvet like top.

I would like to buy an air bed, can you hear some noise when you sleep over it? Raised or not? I think it’s a kind of plastic so can you sleep comfortably during hot nights in summer? Do they make a lot of noise when you use the electrical pump? I’m looking for guest bed for 2 people during weekends and have no space for real bed. thanks
