My parents wont agree to call an Exterminator, so is there anything else that has worked for you or someone you know?

Take all the sheets off and vacuum the bed every day. Turn the mattress over and and keep doing it. It may help, but they say bed bugs are almost impossible to get rid of with out a professional coming in.
I’d throw the mattress out.
The bugs are probably all around inside the mattress. Call the exterminator yourself and use their credit card or something because if they aren’t going to call the exterminator you either sleep on the floor or get a new mattress. And getting a new mattress is probably less expensive than to buy a new mattress.
bug bombs work great. you can buy one at wal-mart and it doesn’t take more than 6 hours before you can go back in your house. make sure you keep your pets out of the house when you do so and remove uncovered food items from your kitchen as the chemicals could poison them
I say go for Exterminator and then change your mattress
Bedbugs!
At this point, all you can do is burn the mattress!

That is tough. Those things will infect your entire house if they aren’t gotten rid of pronto. I’ve read steam-cleaning will kill them. You need to do beds, furniture, carpets, anyplace else you can think of.
Here is a Search-Page on exterminating bed bugs, bookmark it, click & read whatever interests you, you can also change the search terms if you choose……………..

be careful about bug bombs, remember they are poison and lay down a layer of poison on whatever is exposed…..including dishes, everything else too. Use common sense. A couple months ago there was a woman who lived in a small trailer with 2 toddlers. She used like 6 cans of bug bomb and later everyone went to sleep as usual. The 2 toddlers died.
You CAN`T ……….. plain and simple !! They`re not only in the mattress …….. they`re in the sofas …… upholstery , behind the baseboards , in between the walls in the insulation , in the carpet , curtains , clothing in the closets , in the dryer , under the washer ………… EVERYWHERE !!
Once bedbugs infest a house , they`re there FOR GOOD !!
You can call the exterminators but they`ll tell you anything they do is only temporary ………. and it`s only a matter of time before the little beasties are eating you alive at nights again !!
No reputable exterminator will "guarantee" to get rid of your bedbug problem permanently ………… without burning down the house !
