I just bought a really nice hungarian goosedown comforter but I’m worried it will be too warm for all the seasons except winter, I’d like to keep it but I will need a real lightweight, breathable duvet cover. I am a single guy so I don’t want a feminine one. I don’t understand why so much bedding seems to be for women.
So help me find a lightweight cover! thanks.

I can’t fit my queen size box springs up the stairs:(
Where can I get a set of split queen box springs w/o breaking the bank or having to buy the mattress too?
Or…do you have a suggestion for something else that might work? I’m tired of sleeping on my mattress that just sits on the floor:(

I purchased a metal bed frame from a mattress store and I tried to return it but they said they couldn’t due to the law prohibiting mattresses or bedding to be returned for health reasons. I looked at the law and it only mentions fabric and stuffing material not metal.

Ok, I just read a article about dust mites and now I’m all disgusted and want to wash all my pillow cases and bedspreads. I know they can’t physcially harm you except allergy wise but it still sounds so gross, millions of bugs crawling all over you while your sleeping? Opinions?
Also I’m told that heat from the dryer can kill millions of them therefore reducing the population in your bed. What could you do about the mattress? Go over it with a iron?

Im moving my bed and stuff away from the wall and im going to be working on getting the mold off,,, MY question is..
When I start to clean the mold off my walls (its on the bottom part working its way up) will it make it unsafe to breathe for awhile? Like should i sleep in another room? Will it make more spores float into the air since im going to be scrubbing it off?
Or once i get the mold off is the air good?
any advice would be great.

There’s stains all over it and we’re having guests come over tomorrow and I don’t want it dirty.
BQ: What’s the best way to clean my futon cover? Should I just take it to the laundry mat and wash it reguarly or something else?

I have a sleep number bed and the hose connection has come completely unattached from the mattress oring, causing an air leak. What product could I pick up at a local hardware store, that would reconnect the hose and seal the leak?

I am picking out a mattress for our crib. I understand that the mattress needs to be firm/fit the crib well, etc. and I found a Serta at Babies R Us does quite well.
However, I have been reading articles re fungus and the fire retardants mixing to promote toxic gas that could be a SIDS contributor. If this is true I do have the option of buying an organic mattress. They are quite expensive and if WORTH it I will spend it. However, I am not sure if this is just another way to blow money (there are so many). Now, I plan on using a waterproof mattress pad on top of a water proof mattress so perhaps the worry of fungus developing is not significant.
Anyhow, anyone who wants to weigh in on this, has considered buying organic and didn’t or did buy organic just give me some reasons.
