Can i upgrade my plastic gearbox to a metal gearbox?

Ok i have a BOYI DBOYS M4A1 RIS VERSION. Its OK, shoots about 250 FPS. But is there a way i could upgrade that plastic gearbox to a metal gearbox? Oh and i’m going to be using this in a woodland area…
PS: Is there a way to upgrade my Spring m16 rifle to a metal inner barell to make it shoot harder.

A new gearbox will run you about $40 at the minimum. There you need to realise half the internals won’t fit inside it correctly, meaning the rest of them won’t. Then you’ll be out a lot more than it would cost to have an entirely new, good quality airsoft gun.
If you find one that’s compatible. but you won’t.
Your best option is to just buy a new, quality airsoft gun.
Nope. As far as I know, plastc gearboxes are well… screwed. You need a new gun sorry.
