I am planning on selling my bed frame and putting my mattress on the floor

I know a lot of people ask this, but I have recently acquired a queen sized headboard/foot board/bed frame. I currently have a full sized mattress and boxspring, and I will NOT be buying a new queen mattress set. So please don’t leave that as your answer. I want tips on how to make it work.

I finished vacuuming my whole bed frame, including the screws, holes and crevices. Now I want to reassemble my bed, but I want to put something in the crevices to both kill any bugs that I may have missed and to prevent any from getting in there again.

Can I use Windex to kill bed bugs?
And should I put cooking oil or Vaseline in the crevices to make the surface unaccessible to them?

I’m moving into my new flat soon and need to find a bed. Only thing is, I don’t want to have to buy a bed frame and mattress separate, is there anywhere (that has a website) that sells the two things together and at a decent price?

Is there a difference between a box spring mattress set and a platform bed comfort wise? We’ve been thinking about for-going the whole big mattress set and just getting the best mattress we can, putting it on a platform type bed frame.

What do you think? Have you tried both? Pros, cons..

We are moving soon and our almost 3 year old daughter is inheriting our full size bed. We will not have a frame for it and we were thinking of just setting it on the floor. It will sit almost 2 feet off the ground and will have a bed skirt around it. We figure it will be easier for her to get in and out of since it will be lower to the floor.

What’s your opinion of no bed frame?

I somehow got lucky and my dad’s friend is giving away his queen size sleep number bed for free! There’s nothing wrong with it, the guy and his wife just didn’t like it. Anyways, what kind of bed frame do I use? Any queen size frame?

BQ: If you have one or know someone who does, do they like it? We are going from a cheap full size mattress to this so I am not going to complain.
