My SO and I plan to take our 6.5 month old camping within the next month. We have a tent that fits 2 people. It’s too small to put her play yard in so she would have to sleep with us on a foam mattress on the ground.

Should we just go out and spend 0 on a bigger tent?

I was thinking it might even be a good idea to use the small tent as a play area to keep her safe and out of the sun while she’s playing. She’s already crawling backwards and very close to going forwards so she would want to be on the ground getting in to everything.

Is this a good plan?
Is there anything you strongly recommend bringing when taking a baby camping?
It’s about a 3 hour drive from here but it’s a 10 minute drive to a small town.

What was your experience with taking a baby camping?

I have a 1997 Lz z Boy sleeper soafer queen size that I brought for my studio apt in downtown San Antonio, Tx. I t is in excellent shape and the mattress is a good mattress from lz z Boy, I am trying to make it even better. I was told a mattress pad, or foam mattress topping, or a feather bed will work, called around and now I am totally confused lol. Please help! I am 6’1 200 lbs and looking to make the bed as comfortable and plush as possible.

Hello. I just got a Malm bed and I am thinking of getting a Sertapedic Foam mattress (here: http://www.sleepys.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product1_10602_-1_13476_10551). It is 7 1/2" thick, while the mattress displayed in the store with the bed was only 4 3/4 inches thick. Will the bed look strange with the thicker mattress?

I read that when assembling the frame, I will get the option to place the slats at a lower position. Has anyone done this with a thicker mattress? Thanks in advance!

I just bought a foam mattress from Ikea today…I am wondering now that it’s unrolled, how long it will take to decompress and if it’s not fully decompressed if I should avoid sleeping on it? I cannot find anything on the Ikea site about this in particular…am hoping someone out there has some experience in this. I don’t want to sleep on it if it is going to ruin the mattress and keep it from decompressing properly.

I have tried five mattresses in three years, including the Tempuer-Pedic, a foam mattress, and several inner-spring mattresses. I have also tried both thick and thin memory foam toppers, a featherbed topper, and a latex topper, and still get back pain and toss and turn, mostly from pressure points. I don’t like the fact that sleep number beds have that barrier in the middle, so I am considering a Dux.

I have an off-brand foam mattress, but after a year of sleeping in it, there is a big sink spot where I lay, and I think it gives me back problems. I am wanting to buy a really nice mattress. So, ignoring the price, which is an overall better bed, a tempur-pedic mattress or a sleep number mattress?

We had our old mattress for 7 years. Really needed to get new. Ended up going to a local mattress store. The rep directed us to the Sleep to Live mattresses. We did a diagnostic scan and then were told to pick from the 200-800 Series.

Tried all of them and thought the 400 (blue) was the best. Got it home, first night was wonderful. Finally no back pain and felt like a cloud. Second night and on and the cloud is NOT there. My back hurts more than it did with the old mattress.

Our budget is 00. and have the choice to go with a Foam, Latex or Innerspring with pillow top. Didnt really care for the Tempur Pedic. Dont care for the firm stiff feeling. Prefer soft/plus but with the much needed support.
