Currently, we have an Ethan Allen Bed frame (king-size), box set from Select Comfort (~9 inch) and a 9-10 thick (fairly new) futon mattress. The sleep number and other fancy mattresses didn’t work for us.

I was waking up with my severe back-aches and not getting good sleep. In past, flipping the mattress, helps even out the mattress. However, it didn’t help us this time. On close inspection, I realized the box set had become lumpy and uneven. In my mind, it was the box set that was causing problems and not the mattress.

What are the best solutions to fix this problem? I can think of following –

1. Replace the old box set with a new one
2. Use super pallets (as opposed to Box Set).
3. Use plywood planks between the mattress and the box set.

Can somebody advice me on the long-term solution? Note, Futon Mattress works best for us and we replace it almost every year with a new one. So don’t suggest changing the mattress.

I am desperately in need of a bigger bed- queen/king size, however money is a problem. So has anyone every tried those connect 2 twin beds to make a king sets or did it by themselves? Or an air mattress maybe? Or suggestions… My budget is 200$ and the bed needs to be comfortable and last for at least 5-10 years, thank you!

The c2 series king size. I already know I want the bed I just need to know if its the typical overall demensions of a regular king bed, 76" long and 80" wide. The website wont tell me. Thanks thats all

I want a queen or king size platform bed, then i will but my full size mattress on it so there is room around it. I already have a bed but i creaks and cracks. So i just want a a big box-like structure that i can put my mattress on. I dont want to buy one. Is it possible to make one?? Just wonder. If not , are they expensive and do they creak after years of use??

It says it’s dimensions are 76 inches wide x 80 inches long x 8 inches deep. I’m only 16 so I have no idea about this kind of stuff. I’m not really smart. But, what platform bed with STORAGE shelves underneath would be the PERFECT size for this mattress?
