I’m getting a tattoo done on my inner forearm in South Carolina during spring break, and I have to be able to hide it from my parents when I come back home. When can I put make up over it without ruining it? I know it won’t completely cover it up, but I’m hoping it will help somewhat.

My parents are having a big garage sale next weekend and they are selling some decent stuff (i.e. furniture, etc.), so it should bring in a decent crowd as far as garage sales go. Anyway, I have a mattress and box spring set that’s been in my storage unit for 3.5 years and I’m going to put it in there. I think I paid 0/650 or so for the set when I bought it. I slept on it for a year and then put it in storage, so it’s about 4.5 years old. It’s queen size by the way.
How much should I list it for?
I’ve also got an older TV, which is about 27" in. What do you think? ? ?

if so, how and when? our 5 siblings and their two parents live in a one bedroom apartment, where everyone sleeps on air mattresses, in which our father >: beats my 13 year old sister regularly. we want to take custody of her so she can have a better life and go to a much better high school. in the state of Texas can she decide at the age of 14, that she wants to live with her older siblings to get out of an abusive environment. any information on the matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

I’m gonna sound like a brat but my parents sent me on this trip to Taiwan for some camp for a whole month, and I really don’t want to be here. The whole island is so decrepit and ugly, especially the buildings. Right now I’m living at an aunts guest apartment and its so ghetto. Plus I can hear every little thing outside (buses, people, kids, etc) and the mattress is like hard as a rock. My aunt is great but I don’t want to tell her I hate it here. The camp doesn’t start for a few days but I just want to be home! I like being in America or Europe, just not here! The point of the camp is to culturally enrich us but I really don’t like any of it. My mom really doesn’t care what I think because she probably hates me.

I work at a daycare and we found bed bugs we called an exterminator and they only did a treatment in one room. I would like to know what we should do as teachers because my center is kind of horrible and has no guidlines or cares they told us not to tell parents. Who can I call or what action I could take.

This might be a little long but I’ll try to keep the explaination short.
I’m due to give birth to our first child, a girl, in July. I originally wanted my mother to be there for the birth, but since my parents live far away and have to fly in, they bought plane tickets to be here 5 days after my due date (in case they miss the birth they still get to see her and spend time with us) and they are going to stay for 2 weeks. I’m not thrilled about having houseguests right away, but I know my parents won’t hang around the house the entire time and are pretty good at entertaining themselves.
The problem is, my husbands parents. They are older and retired and have nothing better to do than to hop in the car the second she is born and come down for a visit (They also live a few states away but they travel in a camper.) We only have one guest bed in the house, and consequently, the ‘guest room’ is now the nursery. I’m actually going out of my way to keep the guest bed in the nursery until my parents leave so I can’t even fully set up the nursery until later. I had the brilliant idea that my parents-in-law would come partially during the time my parents are also visiting so that they would have to drive in their camper and stay out in that (they are also bringing their dog).
It has blown up in my face! They claim it will cost nearly 1000 in gas and tolls to drive their camper so they are going to come in their van instead and stay inside our house. We warned them that the only guest bed will be taken and they replied that they would just sleep on an air mattress in our living room.
Our house is not very big (1300 sf and 3 bedrooms, the third being for storage). So now it looks like I will have my parents for a week and a half staying with us, then in addition, will have the in-laws camping in my livingroom for an additional week overlapping their visit.
My husband only gets a few weeks off work, and depending on when I have the baby, we may only get some time alone before my parents come out, or after (if I deliver late). I know he wants to be off work when his family comes to visit, but the only way that will happen is to have a house full of houseguests all at once so we still have alone time with the baby either before or after they leave.
I’m freaking out because while my parents will be here to help out and are good at entertaining themselves and leaving the house, HIS parents only like to sit around, watch CNN news and talk from early morning until late at night. They expect to be entertained and I’m afraid that despite having just had a baby, it will be difficult and frustrating that they never leave the house. Not to mention I wlll be trapped in our bedroom with the baby through the night since I can’t be walking with her in the living room while they are sleeping in it.
I really don’t know if I can handle the houseguests and I’m afraid I will end up being cranky and bitchy and telling everyone to leave the house all too often. I know its not my job to play hostess and worry about cooking and feeding the people staying in the house, but I just dont know if I can even handle the morning noon and night entertaining them with conversation and having no privacy.
Any suggestions????

My dogs are used to sleeping in my parents bedroom. They have been for about 2 or three years. This summer I am taking the dogs to live with me in my new apartment and I want them to get used to sleeping with me. I have been trying to get them to sleep in my bed, at my parents house, but they stay with me. They just paw at the door until I let those jerks out and then they run to mommy. LAME I was curious if there was a tactic I could use to make them comfortable sleeping in my room?
***Anything else besides crating them?
