How about this Sleep Number bed idea?

I have an older Sleep Number bed from like 2003. What I’m wondering, is since I would imagine most of the lower part of the bed (the foam frame and air bags) haven’t changed that much, I wonder if it’s possible to pretend I have a new expensive model and need to replace the entire top due to a massive spill. So, get a new expensive top for the old, basic lower part of the Sleep Number setup. New top, old bottom – seems like it would basically be a new bed for a fraction of the price. Thoughts?

I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, and various other causes of constant chronic pain. I have found I sleep better on the couch but I don’t understand why…there is no support. Anyone else find the same?
We already have a sleep number bed.

I just bought a Sleep Number bed, and I was wondering if there was really any difference between that and the fancy-version inflatable beds you can get at Wal-mart. Reason I ask, is we already bought one of those huge (as in at least a foot thick) Queen size ones from Wal-mart that have the built-in pumps for my daughter about two years ago for when we go away and she doesn’t like the bedding. I’ve been on that myself, and have to say it was quite comfortable. And just like the Sleep Number, it too can be either blown up entirely or just partially (just doesn’t have the number remote). I was thinking of getting new Sleep Number beds for my entire family, but am wondering now if it’s worth it, as it seems the same. Does anyone know if there is any actual difference in the two types of beds? Thanks much for any advice in advance!:)

Sleep number bed worth the money?

Is the Sleep Number bed worth all of that money? Or is it more of a gimmick?

I somehow got lucky and my dad’s friend is giving away his queen size sleep number bed for free! There’s nothing wrong with it, the guy and his wife just didn’t like it. Anyways, what kind of bed frame do I use? Any queen size frame?

BQ: If you have one or know someone who does, do they like it? We are going from a cheap full size mattress to this so I am not going to complain.

I am wanting to get a sleep number bed and was wondering if I should just wait until after I move to get it or if I could get away with an adapter if needed?

I am thinking of getting a new mattress. I want something that is good, but it seems that the Temper-pedic is so expensive? What has been you experience with it! I am also comparing it with the Sleep Number bed- what do you think?
Thanks, I apprecaite all your advice!

I NEED Your opinion on a new bed!?

My husband and I are looking to get a new bed. We have had a Tempur-Pedic for the past 3 years, and while he loves it..I feel like I can never get comfortable and constantly toss and turn during the night! The Sleep Number bed seems like the best option for us, since I like the bed a little softer than my husband..but I have read sooooo many mixed reviews..So I would really appreciate some input from anyone willing to give me their opinion… Price isn’t important either, we are looking for comfort and durability. Thanks in advance!! =)
