I have some pretty bad back problems from scoliosis and as a result I had harrington rods placed on boths sides of the spin from T3 to L1 in 2001. I’m not bad enough to quality for disability assistance or anything but I still have to have bi-weekly chiro appointments to keep me together.
So I have very little money and I just can’t seem to have a good night’s sleep. Then I spent a few nights on a sleep number bed in a hotel in MN. I SLEPT GREAT!!
Those beds run like ,000-3,000 so medical professionals and people who know… do I stand a chance of having the orthopedic surgeon I’ve seen since 1994 prescribing me a bed????

I suffer from both GERD (Acid Reflux Disease) and TMJ (Jaw disorder). Our bed is a pillow top that is very soft, and the pillows we use are wearing down fast. I wake up every morning with a headache and can barely open my mouth b/c of the jaw pain. Sometimes my sleep is restful, and other times it isn’t. My Chiropractor said it could be my mattress that is the problem. He suggested the Sleep Number bed, but it’s super expensive. I know it would be a good investment in the long run, but right now, my fiance and I are right in the middle of planning our wedding, honeymoon, and a trip to visit his grandpa in Connecticut this summer (we’re from Illinois). So we do not have a lot of money right now. I value a good night’s sleep and it’s very important to me. I want to go mattress shopping very soon as a temporary solution for a few years to get by until we have the money for something like a sleep number. How can I determine what mattress is right for me before I buy it?

I have a Tempur-Pedic but it’s a Cal King and I am letting my husband have it in the separation/divorce. It’s too big and I have never liked that size anyway. I am going back to a Queen. I love the Tempur-Pedic but given the impending divorce, it’s too expensive for me to purchase right now. I checked out the Sleep Number bed but it is also expensive and after trying it I didn’t think it was worth the price. Also, I like the Tempur-Pedic better so if I was going to pay that much for a bed I would just purchase another one of those.
So, now I am going to get a traditional mattress. So, what brand is the best? I like soft and not firm mattresses. I am looking to spend, hopefully, about 0 or less. At that cost I may not be able to find a great bed but I am hoping for something that will allow me to get a good night’s sleep. I don’t have any health issues that would affect my sleep.

I have a sleep number bed and i was stupid enough to drink both coke and tea on the bed. Of course, i spilled the drinks all over. I’ve done it twice or three times. i’ve tried using clorox wipes and my mom got a scrub thing with a sponge on it.. Neither were successful.
What’s the best way to remove the stains with out ruining my bed anymore than it already is?
the stain is dry

My wife and I are looking for a new boxspring and mattress. Do any of you have suggestions for a good set? BTW, We’ve already tried temper+pedic and the "sleep number bed" but they do not work for us. Your thoughtful suggestions would be most appreciated.
All thanks for the diet advice but I’m a medium build and my wife is petite. We’d like some thoughtful advice on what kind of bed to buy. For those who have responded so far with actual advice your thoughts are very much appreciated.

I have been searching for months and I have not found a thing! I know I have to spend at least 2000.00 for a good mattress unless you guys inform me better. Today I found myself in a sleep number bed store and I believe I am sold. What can you tell me?
If you have suggestions please tell me the brand and model and cost!
If you have a sleep number I would appreciate any info on that as well.
