Why does sleeping on your back cause sleep paralysis?
I get it every so often, but only when I sleep on my back. Everywhere I’ve read so far lists sleeping on your back as a cause of sleep paralysis, but why sleeping on your back specifically?

Natural spring mattresses are made of plant based foam and natural wool; they are placed on top of scientifically designed coil springs and have a zone coil support system that contributes to optimum comfort for the user. The high quality materials used in these mattresses make them ergonomically superior and contribute to unhindered sleep. Since the mattresses are made from natural materials issues of odor and heat are eliminated.

I am 4 weeks today. I see people asking if sleeping on their back is fine. I did not know there was a certain way besides maybe no sleeping on your stomache. Can someone tell me if there is a better way to sleep when pregnant?
I have an older Sleep Number bed from like 2003. What I’m wondering, is since I would imagine most of the lower part of the bed (the foam frame and air bags) haven’t changed that much, I wonder if it’s possible to pretend I have a new expensive model and need to replace the entire top due to a massive spill. So, get a new expensive top for the old, basic lower part of the Sleep Number setup. New top, old bottom – seems like it would basically be a new bed for a fraction of the price. Thoughts?
When my baby is sleeping during the day for four to six hour periods. I can’t get her to wake for anything. I have taken off her clothes, washed her face, moved her around, everything. But then she is awake all night. Even when I feed her at night she doens’t go to sleep. If there was some way to get her to change her sleep pattern to sleep at night how she sleeps during the day I would be over the moon.

So I can’t sleep at night… so I take sleeping pills … but then in the morning I feel groggy so I take a bunch of caffeine pills along with coffee and alcoholic energy drinks… Is this bad? You know to basically be taking uppers then downers then uppers then downers over and over again? If so why is it bad?
But it’s better than snorting heroin at night and snorting coke in the morning right?
By long hours , I’m referring to probably about 11-12hours. I’m 14 this year , and it’s holiday season now I’m bored from playing games and don’t really feel like leaving my house. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how could i sleep 11-12hours a day?
I have never used sleeping pills before. I brought something called "Maximum strength sleep aid" (Diphenhydramine HCI). I want to know 3 things:
1) How long do I have to wait before they kick in?
2) How long will it knock me out?
3) How long after I wake up will the effect wear off?
It is 50mg each.
