I took my black lab on a camping trip and she loves water (she’s a black lab). anyway, everytime i would get into the river she would jump in after me and almost drown herself trying to "rescue" me. i know she wasn’t just being playful because i would help her back on shore and she would pace back and forth and watch me. if i started to swim, she would jump back in and would exhaust herself trying to get to me. she even went under a few times! i had to constantly watch her and couldn’t really enjoy myself at the river out of worrying. also, the other dogs would roll in the mud and act like dogs, while she would refuse to sleep on the ground. she would either jump in a camping chair to sleep or go hide in my tent and sleep on the air mattress. is this normal behaviour for a black lab??

do i need to chop wood- ??

like i got so many pointers but i’m not sure what else i should bring

got pocket knife ponchos, mallet, stakes, tent (for 6), sleeping bag [might get queen air mattress]…

i plan to buy lantern and i guess bring a lighter…

anything else- what should i cook – i’m a vegetarian ::>… i plan to eat b4 trip …what food can i pack that will be okay for next day- cooking gear

any other gear i need?

we are going camping next week and this is are very fist time going and like what should we bring? we don’t have a tent or air mattresses my friend who is coming with us has a stove we can use so we don’t need one of those. besides the food how much will everything cost? like tent , air mattress , wood, how much would staying at the camp ground cost? and what ever else you need? oh and where are good places to buy cheap but good tents and air mattresses? any advice for first timers for camping. Trying to figure out a comfortable bed solution for tent camping. The best I’ve found so far is using a Thermarest 1.5" inflatable mattress and a layer of 3" thick open cell foam over that. But I’m not totally happy with it, as I still wake up kinda sore. I guess I’m looking for the best thing short of an actual bed mattress that can fit in the trunk of my vehicle. Thanks for any good tips.

I’m going camping, I’ll be sleeping in a tent. We’re going to campgrounds, not just out in the woods lol. I’ll have a tent platform. Do I need an air mattress or will just a sleeping bad work?
I meant sleeping bag, not bad.

And will sleeping without an air mattress just be completely uncomfortable, like hard and painful? I’ve never been camping so idk what to expect or what a tent platform even is.

Can I "live" in a tent?
Okay so Im 12 and I was thinking about buying a really big tent (I was gonna try and build a small house but I dont have enough money or skill for that) So in the tent I was gonna use extention cables from my house to the tent and put my xbox in their and lights and stuff (my moms boyfriend is an electrition and we live in the middle of the woods) I was gonna buy a blow up mattress and a desk and chairs and stuff but what could I put food in…(Its gonnabe near the basement so I can use the bathroom down their) How do I keep bugs out and where can I buy stuff for this… also where can I buy a really cheap xbox for less than 100$ ..Give me some links thnxx (Btw im turning 13 in 3 months so sorry if im not "allowed" to be on this site).. oh and could i buy fold up beds or somthing for when my friends come to sleep in it
