I have a skin condition that only allows me to sleep on leather, silk or something without dustmites. I want to spend some money on an RV rather then living in Apts., but I need a waterbed. Currently I have to sleep on a leather couch because I don’t know exactly what I can do in an RV. So my question is can you place a waterbed inside an RV to sleep in rather then its usual bedding. Thanks!!

I’ve been sleeping on a soft-sider waterbed for years (12½, to be exact). The bed itself is 16 years old, and the newest bladder is 6 years old. The other one (my side) is 8½. I love my bed, but it has far exceeded it’s life expectancy. Soft-siders seem to have gone the way of the dinosaur, unfortunately, and my husband hates it.
I now have the daunting task of finding a bed that is as comfortable as my soft-sider. I have Scoliosis and other back issues, so I want something that isn’t going to aggravate that.
I’ll appreciate real-life experience from people who have had these beds, or other options that worked for them. Serious answers, please! Thank you.
—>Douglas B: I have a doctor and a physical therapist, thank you. What I am wanting are opinions on a good choice of bed.

just received a waterbed that has tubes inside the pillow top. The tubes are "motionless" with a fiber strand that runs through. How do I fill the tubes, laying flat? Then how will I know if I’ve filled to the correct fill line? When we attempt to hold up, the fiber falls to the bottom. I’m assuming that they are not filled enough, since the bed sags in the middle.

I’m thinking about purchasing a waterbed to help out with my back problems and I’m wanting to know if it’s okay to put it on the second floor of my house. Please help me out. Thanks.
